Jack Daniel's Bar
ROLE
Project Manager
YEAR
Spring 2025
OBJECTIVE
Transform an existing bar into a unique Jack Daniel’s branded experience
BACKGROUND
Jack Daniel’s became a Golden State Warriors partner in 2024, with their deal centered around their entitlement of Chase Center’s northwest platform bar, previously branded by Jameson. Their team envisioned this bar as an experiential space to host tastings and entertain clients. They wanted the bar to create a fan experience that was exciting, modern, and authentic to the Jack Daniel’s brand.
APPROACH
Jack Daniel’s floated two competing design proposals: one from a design agency and another that I designed. Their team was enthusiastic about the proposal I created, which envisioned the space as a modern speakeasy. I conveyed this feeling through wood and stone textures; walls adorned with wainscoting; dim, warm lighting fixtures; and a photography wall featuring classic Warriors and Jack Daniel’s imagery mounted in ornate frames.
This buildout posed an initial time constraint: it had to be completed prior to NBA All-Star 2025, which was being hosted at Chase Center, giving me three months to drive this project to completion. This tight deadline sharpened my ability to work with diverse stakeholders in bringing this project to a successful completion.
I managed the fabrication of the design assets of the space with A3 Visual, a large format print and live event company. I then worked with the Chase Center Events team to block off five days in the arena’s busy event calendar for this buildout. During this five-day window, I coordinated the demolition of the existing space with Chase Center's Operations team to prepare it for installation. Following the completion of their work, A3 Visual arrived to install the new shelving units, wall decals, and dimensional signage. The last piece of the puzzle involved bringing the Operations team back to re-install the television at the center of the shelves.
