MODELO BAR AT CHASE CENTER

YEAR
Fall 2025
OBJECTIVE
Execute on Modelo’s creative direction for their Chase Center bar
BACKGROUND
When Chase Center opened in 2019, Constellation Brands, which imports, distributes, and markets the Modelo portfolio, signed on for entitlement of an upper concourse bar. Bolstered by this large presence in the game night experience, Modelo has regularly been Chae Center’s preferred pour as one of the building’s top selling products. After six years, however, their team was looking to refresh this bar with a new design.
APPROACH
The Modelo team designed a look and feel for the bar and tasked our team with implementing it. This process involved several moving parts. I worked with Primary Color, a design and fabrication company, on building out the dimensional wreath and bridge and printing the wall decals. I also coordinated with Chase Center’s Operations team to block off a week in the arena’s busy schedule to tear down the existing bar and prepare it for installation, as well as supplied Primary Color with lifts and any tools they needed on-site during construction.
The process from demolition to construction finetuned my attention to detail. Every step had to be completed before the next stage could begin, which made adhering to the production calendar important and regular communication with stakeholders essential.
The demolition phase began with removing the shelving units and televisions, which required additional support from Chase Center’s Engineering and Construction teams. After stripping the original decals off the walls and bar front, I ensured Operations primed these surfaces to ensure a longer lasting and professional finish for the new decals.
